Version 5.10 revision 03  10/20/2014

Status Time - The StatusTime field has been added to the service item entry and service item entry history files. The status time will be set automatically when the service item entry status code is changed, and can be corrected manually.

New Status Log Fields - The following new fields have been added to the Service Item Log and Service Item Log History files: StatusTime, StausEndDate, StatusEndTime, MinutesInStatus.

Change Status Log Records button - Change Status Log Records button has been added to the Service Order Entry, Service Item Entry, Service Order Entry History and Service Item Entry History. If you highlight the service item entry line, and then press the button, a new panel will pop up showing all status log records for this service item. You can make corrections of the status date or status time, and the program will recalculate the end date/time and the minutes in status value for all log records.

ASI Service Center Views - ASI Service Center Views have been added to Business Insights Reporter.

Unlocking Key - Unlock ASI Addition logic has been change to populate the unlocking key multi-line automatically when the Addition is enabled for a different company in the same installation of Sage 100.

Service Item Maintenance Service Info tab changes - The Service Info list box that shows service history has new fields that give more information about the service item entry displayed.  You can now see the status of current entries, the technician, part of the problem description, the complain code and the failure reason.  When you use the drill-down feature, if it is a current orders you will be allowed to edit the order in the drill down.  This will be useful for those who wish to use Service Item maintenance as the starting point for customer service.

Correction for occasional Error 88 GridAC.pvc – When bouncing back and forth between the Service Item Entry tab and the Lines tab in Service Order Entry the user would occasionally get an error 88.  This has been corrected.

Negative Freight Changes - in prior versions it was easily possible to create a second invoice for a service invoice and have the freight amount on the invoice be negative.  This would happen if the manually adjusted freight on the first invoice exceeded the total freight amount on the service order. Now if freight on service order is zero, it will be zero on all created invoices. If the freight on the service order is positive – it will be positive or zero on all invoices.  If the freight on the service order is negative – it will be negative or zero on all invoices.

Version 5.10 revision 00  07/01/2014

Auto Complete - Added auto complete in Service Order Data Entry to Customer Number and Item Code.  In Service Item Maintenance auto complete has been added for the service item code and the serial number.  For the serial number, as you begin to type, you will see a list of matching service items.  Select one by clicking on it, which will put the serial number and item code, separated by tildes, in the serial number field.  Simply tab or enter and the service item code and serial number will fill in automatically.  You can also use auto complete in Demo/Loaner Item, Demo/Loaner Serial, Complaint Code, Failure Reason, Group Code, Service Technician, Status Code, Warranty Code.

Time Transactions pop up in Service Order Data Entry

Button "New" has been added to Time Transactions panel (to add new time transactions from Service Order Entry)
If any change is made to the billed transaction (transaction that is assigned to the details line) time in the Time Transaction entry, it will be reflected on the detail transaction hours and ordered qty.
If any change is made to the billed transaction (transaction that is assigned to the details line) time when this transaction is opened from the service order entry and if Cancel is pressed on the selected entry, the warning message will be sent, but I will allow to cancel the changes, so the time will be different on the transaction entry and on the detail line.
If we close a service entry or a service order, the program will check if the sum of transaction hours in the time transaction table matches the number of transaction hours for this detail line. If not, the warning message will be sent, but the program will allow to close.

Copy Line to Selected Service Item Entries - A new button has been added to the details tab of Service Order Entry which allows you to copy a detail line from one service item entry to one or more other service item entries. If you highlight the detail line, and then press this button, a new panel will pop up and will show all service items in a list box.  You can select the service items you want to add this line to and then press OK. When Ok is pressed, the detail line will be added to all highlighted service items. There is a check box on that additional panel – recalculate unit price on each service item.  If this line is a labor line, the service technician from the original line will always be used.

Change Service Item Code - Service Center has always had the ability to do a mass change of the serial number for a service item in Service Item Maintenance, but now you can also change the item code. Now you can choose if you want to change just serial number, or just item code, or both of them at the same time. Serial history button now shows serial/item change.

Apply Button in Service Item Maintenance - When changes are made to a service item in Service Item Maintenance, you can now click an Apply button to make those same changes to the service item entries for that service item. When pressed, it will save changes for the service item, then will show the panel with the check boxes and the selection grid. You can choose service orders to apply changes to and the changes (line warranty, product line, etc) that have to be applied. If the service order is opened, the program will offer to retry or cancel. If the cancel is pressed, the opened order will be skipped, and the program will go to the next order. All errors will be shown in the message box at the end. Take a look at Service Item - Main Tab to see where the button is placed and at Apply Service Item Changes to see the Apply dialog where you make your choices.

Scrapped Service Item – Is the Scrapped box is checked for a service item in Service Item Maintenance, you will no longer be allowed to put that service item on a service order.

Sell Demo Item - Frequently a customer who has received a demo or loaner unit will decide to just keep it.  In prior versions the procedure required that you issue a credit memo to return the demo/loaner to regular stock then use a sales order invoice to sell the unit to the customer.   This new feature allows you to create a Debit Memo to see the demo/loaner item. On the detail line of the debit memo for the demo/loaner item being sold a new drop box (probably in the secondary grid) allows you to select Sell Demo or Sell Loaner.  A new button has been added to the Demo/Loaner Record Maintenance on the setup menu to Sell the unit.
